Single malt recomendations around £60 mark

My father's 60th birthday is approaching. Got a couple of other bits for him but wanted to get him a decent bottle of whiskey as well. Open to ideas around £60 ish.

Do you know roughly his tastes in scotch? Does he like a peated smoky scotch, an Islay for example , or something other?

Does he have a particular whisky he likes regularly?

Not certain of his exact tastes. He has a few 'challenging' whiskeys for special occasions. On a more regular basis, the one's I've drank with him recently are, I think, laphroaig, Aberlour, Ardbeg, Dalwhinnie etc... There are several others but my memory is struggling.

Any opinions on this? I like the fact it comes in a wooden case. Seems a better gift. Reviews look good. Is it a good price?
