I love it - takes a long time to get right but well worth it!

I ended up making it tonight so it can mature overnight. It is quite a process but worth it in the end. I added extra caramelised onions for a deeper flavour. The chili kick is there without ruining the other spices and the toasted coconut is a great addition, even if I did bruise my hand and break in to a sweat pounding it in the pestle.

Beef Rendang is great - one of my must have dishes when I stop over in Singapore

Rendang is an awful lot of effort but my god, you get it right and it is awesome.
