Good gift hampers

I'm after a gift hamper for my parents, lots of companies out there so would love some recomendations..

Ideally one that has some red and white wine, pate, cheeses and smoked salmon.

Budget is under a £100. Looking for vfm as well as quality

How about assembling / making your own?

For £100 you could get something like this and fill it with goodies from Waitrose.

Lots of good (English) stuff at the Cobham branch.

How about assembling / making your own?

For £100 you could get something like this and fill it with goodies from Waitrose.

I agree with MC, make up your own

And check your local charity shops for a hamper.

Either M&S or John Lewis do some nice hampers if you need it posted. If you can deliver it yourself then buy a nice wicker basket and go shopping at a few posh food shops and fill the basket.

Make your own! If ever we give hampers to anyone, Cat will just make them. That way, you end up getting great value for money and you can put exactly what you want in the hamper.

Having said that, it's probably best if you ask Tracey for some help.

I've just been telling him that it would be best to do our own, much more personal too, it's just getting the time to get all the bits together but I think his parents would appreciate it more if they knew Charlie had put it together ( with help )

I may have some cellophane wrap and a large basket you can have.
Will ask Rob to bring it over tomorrow if he can find them

You will need loose fill, tissue paper and maybe a pull bow to make it look pretty.

+ So many. F&M hampers are beautiful and very good VFM. Order online and courier service too. But better to go to the store. A proper old British place.

Its not the food particularly its the stuff that comes with in a Fortnums hamper.

It's bad VFM. That is really all there is to be said about Fortnum.

I too would make my own up. I did so a while ago, when finding that many of the commercially available had champers in them , which the person it was for does not like .(Me neither, for that matter)

Its an enjoyable little exercise..especially when you know someones tastes , buying things of a standard which they would normally not do so. Give them a real treat.
