What are the foods you just have to eat straight from the jar or tin or straight from the tub?

Mine is malt extract. It was a childhood treat of mine and I still can;t get enough of the sticky, gooey mess that is a twirling tablespoon of good malt extract. Instant bliss on a spoon.

It's just as well they sell this in small packets, because I swear I could munch through a frightening amount of these given the opportunity.

Sweet, savoury, spicy & crunchy - delicious!

I don't think I've managed to get a packet as far as home yet paperbag

Peperoncino

May not be the correct term, but - basically - chilli peppers stuffed with tuna preserved in a jar of olive oil.

Julian Graves do these (their own brand ones), and Curry ones (not as good as the chilli ones) and Satay broad beans and Mexican peanuts.. They also did a tub of some Thai rice crackers with lime in, which were divine, but they don't seem to have re-stocked frown

Chevda is also v. good, found in most Tescos these days - a spicier alternative to bombay mix. smile

TBH most food if not all! Good feta cheese lasts about 3 minutes in our house but so do olives or pickled garlic which my kids go mad for.

Cheese in general but this in particular:

Has to be Longley Farm though, there is something about it that other cottage cheeses lack.

Someone mentioned cottage cheese? Always have got a few laying in the fridge.
Tend to eat a tub/container as bedtime snack.

Love this stuff, get mildly upset if I run out before I've had a chance to do the shopping.
