Covent Garden Soups

Just discovered these, and I find them very tasty!

Chicken is my favourite, what are everyones thoughts on these cartons of joy

Steer clear of the lentil and bacon one and you'll be fine...

I was given the recipe book they published, for Christmas.

I had their winter vegetable one for lunch today, with a nice crusty roll

Some of them are laced with salt. The chicken one isn't to bad IIRC but some of the vegetable based ones are 50% of RDA.

Had a few of them lately - Chicken, Leek & Potato, Winter Vegetable ones. They're okay.

Covent Garden Soups are probably the best option if you don't have time to make soup yourself.

If you DO have time then home made soup is simply miles and miles and miles better...

I don't have the time/can't be bothered.

So at a quid a pop I hit the cartons.

I've tried a few different flavours, and none of them have come close to home made, although granted, they're better than cans.

The only exception to this is their carrot & coriander which I could quite happily sup a swimming pool of - it's yummy!

Same here, to be honest they're quite tasty. Cheap & quick to heat up.

But will never be the same as home cooked variety (providing you are a decent cook)!

Used to love their Thai Chicken Fusion soup

It was a staple diet whilst working night shifts a few years ago.
