Surf and Turf for Christmas Dinner

The Mrs and I are having surf and turf for Christmas dinner as we don't want loads of bloody leftovers and it's just the two of us...the rellies don't arrive until Boxing Day.

We've ordered two Porterhouse steaks for the turf. I'll do shell on skewers of prawns for the surf.

But what else? Salad? Chips? Mushrooms? Peas?

This is a special meal. Any original suggestions?

Potato Dauphinoise would definitely go well with the steak. It may not work with the prawns though.
