I remember the good old days when these were about 20p a pack!! 60p is a fudging disgrace!! It's not like i'm a winging old fool back in my day etcc.....

I may be only 25, but I remember them going up from 16p to 20p at the local shop when I was about 10. It had massive implications as far as how I spent my £1 pocket money!

a pack of wrigleys is nearing 50p now, which is ridiculous. i paid 65p for a mars bar this morning, which is a 433% increase from 16 years ago [they were 15p when i started high school].

The reason is that there's a worldwide shortage of holes which has pushed the unit price up.

Combine this recent increases in fuel/transport costs and the logistics costs of moving the holes from source to factory has rocketed.

You'll notice Trebor Extra Strong Mints haven't increased in cost by anywhere near as much.

Filled up at a garage last week [not motorway] and felt a tad peckish. Looked at the prices and didn't bother. 94p for a packet of crisps ffs, inflation? nah, one hell of a rip-off mad
