I have a date with a lovely young woman this friday night. But this has now turned into a celebration as she has secured a new job. Now im just after a few restaurant ideas in and around the birmingham/solihull area. Also just a few nice touches i could add to make it a memorable night
. Over too you!
. Over too you!Blue Mango was recommended to me by some friends, though I've never been. Being an Indian place, there is plenty of vege options- if you do go, be sure to try some paneer tikka!
They also do quite a few wines, 6-7 whiskies and also cocktails, which could be nice if it is a celebration as well.
Alternately, for a totally veggie place, I've eaten at Khazana which was pretty tasty- however I wouldn't consider the setting as ideal for a date.
Moving away from indian food, Simpsons in Edgbaston do a pretty good range of veggie options as well. Place looks quite nice, so would be ideal for a celebratory meal. Food is reasonably priced, though no idea on wine prices as I don't tend to drink the stuff.
Hope that helps.

and we have been out for food a few times now. We have previously had a thai curry at a nice place and had some rubbish american food too. So looking for something a little different to be honest. cheers.
