Chrismas meal in Windsor

This year we've decided we are not going to sit at the parents and cook, we're going to the theatre and then onto a restaurant for a Christmas meal.

My question is; Can you give me some names of good restaurants in Windsor that will be serving a Christmas meal on boxing day? Group is 10-12 big and it'll be around 8PM.

I reckon Gilbey's, on Eton High Street would do a great Christmas lunch - you could use their private room upstairs too. Problem is they are a bit of a family business so I reckon would be closed on Boxing Day. Worth checking though.

Avoid Brown's, went with a similarly sized group, mussels were still frozen when served.
Not impressed.

The Castle Hotel is a pretty good restaraunt, and suitably Christmassy.

It used to be quite nice in there, it's gone downhill of late.

I want to say the Dragon and Castle, but the name could be wrong.

The ex mother in law owns a quait gaff in windsor....big gates and lots of security, but might be able to get you on the guest list for chrimbo dinner !! Show up on the day and if the flags at half mast your in. She always puts on a good show, but her dinner time speech goes on a bit !!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Turns out 'we' don't want a Christmas meal, just a meal out.

Now looking for pubs/restaurant who'll just do good food. Plenty of them about. Looking on toptables.com etc.
