Fooking ell that's an expensive set of scales!

We've just got a set of slimline Salter electronic scales - they do the job fine and then slide back into the side of the cupboard. They look a bit like this but they are all black and I think they were a bit cheaper.

Cheers, the Dualit looks good and not too pricey but I'd really want something less bulky as we're already pushed for space.

I have these, which for the price are a bargain, measure in 1 g / 0.1 oz / 1 ml increments. Also very slim and easy to store.

Nah that's different - form and function I've got a set in a box somewhere that were my Nan's, I really must find them.

For ordinary purely functional kitchen scales I have no idea why anyone would want to spend Dualit money but then I've always been a bit adverse to chucking money around on things just because they are trendy!

It's interesting, you have 2 choices, one that looks good and you put on "display" or one that you hide away. We haven't got room to really hide one away so we had to leave it out so we went for a good looking one.

I bought one of those last year, though I use it to check the weight of the change bags for the shop. It is very useful though and accurate
