My daughter has a snake that eats dead mice which you buy frozen. Forgot to defrost it one day & put it in the microwave. Disaster. The eyes explode...

I saw a recipe a little while ago that had "one can of fried onions" as an ingredient - it was American.

I often use tinned tomatos, as they last for years in the cupboard rather than a week or so in the fridge for real ones

Chopped tomatoes is great invention- best ever hehe it's when they add really basic stuff to them that surely everybody has in their cupboard and then charge more for the privilege

Apparently it's such a faff draining the oil / brine from a tin of tuna.
