Em..just wondering as the summer kicks in and BBQs are the way to go, what flavour is best.

Chinese,
Hot an'spicy
Garlic Butter
Tandori
Cajun
tikka
Jerk
Lemon pepper

So what do you think?
Is not ment to be a stupid post ,but i'd just like to know how many to make.

I've always just liked chicken flavour.

All the other stuff they put on makes me think its cheaper meat that they've covered to take the taste away.

I see your 'chicken on a stick' and raise you 'chicken in a can'

I'm sure that would go down brilliantly at a BBQ...

But, in all seriousness, Jerk/BBQ sauce is the way to go.

If you mean this sort of thing, I'm outta here:

But if you mean proper meat on a skewer, I'd go for satay or garlic butter. Can't abide US-style 'Barbeque sauce', which seems to be basically strawberry jam.

ETA- the chicken in a can 'thing' does appear to be real. Try a search. Probably a directed google search if you actually want to find it.

I am guessing that chicken in a can is from the States?

Even the chavs here would turn their nose up at that

Yes, it's real. Yes, it's from the States. Yes, I would rather eat cardboard.

Back on track - try the following as a marinade for chicken:

juice and grated zest of a lemon
1 crushed garlic clove (shoot removed at this time of year)
a teaspoon of chopped thyme leaves
a good glug of olive oil

Leave it in this for a minimum of 30 minutes.
