Sweet Chilli Sauce
Discussion
I always have a bottle of this handy. My dad made it when I was a kid and I've always ensured I have some in the kitchen.
You need:
1 bottle of ketchup
1 bottle of apricot jam
4 birdseye chillies (or whatever you like)
Stick the chillies in a blender. When they're it tiny bits, stick in the ketchup and jam!
Job's a good un.
It makes a good dipping suace, good with sausages, chips just about everything. Also a very good ingredient for chilli stirfries.

TBH its probably easier to buy the 38p Asda pots as I go rather than outlay a few quid on ingredients and have them lying about.
It would be easier, but more expensive. Asda's 38p pot is 42p/100g, to make the sauce costs 20p/100g. I wouldn't have the ingredients lying about as I don't use ketchup for anything else. It's the sauce of the devil.Or buy a bucket load and keep it in the cupboard. I have a 1 litre bottle that cost less than £2...
Oh blimey, just found 2 litres! :O

That Wing Yip Store is fabulous, it's like Christmas when your order comes. I spend on average 20-25 when I place an order and it comes in a big box with everything individually wrapped like a lucky dip. Often they add random items in for you to try too.
Great for Christmas pressies for family members who are hard to buy for - tea sets, bamboo steamers and wok sets have all been given in our family
