Bulmers Pear - heaven in a glass...
Discussion
Oh dear, I can see my summer becoming a lot more hazy and hung over now i've discovered this glorious nectar...
Never been a huge fan of Bulmers/Magners, always thought they tasted far too strongly sweet, but the Pear Bulmers is just gorgeous.
Bring on the headache...
Cue lots of 'real ale' types telling me "that's not cider, its not got bits of twig in it" etc etc...

Its not proper cider in my book.
But its not bad, shame because the Kopparberg one tastes better but maybe they lacked the marketing power of bullmers, because bullmers is all over the place..
I quite like Thatchers Cider, its quite a nice sharp taste..

Now your talking, have you tried 'Katy'? really crisp & fresh.Katy, without doubt, the best. Easily.
Dont really go for Perry TBH. Although Koppaberg is not too bad. Hate all things Bulmers, just awful stuff.
Why serve it on ice? I still dont get it.

You've just admitted you're a Babycham fan?! Never been a huge fan of Bulmers/Magners, always thought they tasted far too strongly sweet, but the Pear Bulmers is just gorgeous.

There speaks a man with no experience of the Brothers...
Had the Brothers Pear cider on Sunday, tasted like normal apple cider with some chemicals in it. Couldn't get on with the Bulmers Pear either, think it may be due to my disliking for 'conventional' apple cider. Koppaburg, St Heliers and Maguires Pear Ciders all taste a bit sweeter and more to my liking.
Brothers strawberry cider on the other hand is to die for!
Christ, i knew this would happen. I'm apparently a complete cockend because i haven't tried Old Mister Winklemans Fruity Perry Drink, or Colonel Bumsides Twiggy Ciderbrew...
Okay, the last time i had cider, i was 14, it was called White Lightning, and i vomited. A lot.
A few months ago i tried Bulmers & Magners ciders, and didn't like them. Last night i tried the Pear one, and really liked it.
I will try and hunt down the ones you have all suggested, as i have only experienced one 'Perry', so i'm eager to explore them all.
I just wish people weren't so judgemental on here. It happens far too often these days...
