Christmas wines
Discussion
I think I have the Champagne sorted, and the white I'm nearly there but could do with a bit of help and the red I'm stuck!
I'm not worried about cost too much but don't go wild, It needs to be not too heavy and good with a variety of foods.
If anyone can think of a really good Christmas champagne I'd like to hear that too!
Cheers

Etienne Guigal's Cotes du Rhone 2001. Fabulous vintage. £6.99 a bottle
(£9 btl at Waitrose and that's for the 2003 vintage)

I bought a few cases after a recommendation from Bebs, and it's good stuff - not too heavy either.
If you're lucky, he might even deliver it for you!

For a red I recommend:

http://www.henschke.com.au/wines/?wine=12 £50ish
http://www.henschke.com.au/wines/?wine=13 £150ish
Whilst Hill Of Grace is sublime the Mt Edelstone is almost as good for a lot less money and is special enough to grace a Christmas table.
