I never used to be a fan of his but have enjoyed his latest series and was given his latest book for my birthday.

Some gorgeous stuff in there.

So far I tried the barbecue marinade (someone was asking for the recipe on here a while ago, its the one with the ketchup). We did it on a leg of lamb and it was absolutely gorgeous. I don't normally like lamb but couldn't get enough of this.

This week I made homemade ketchup. Doesn't taste like ketchup to me, it bloomin' lovely. Then did Jamie's steak and chips from his book, sounds simple I know, but it was the best steak and chips I've ever had, especially with the home made ketchup.

Last night I made the guiness and beef pie. I love making pies. Flavour was great, but it did need a bit more juice, was verrrry delicious though.

Tonight I've got the Orchard Eve pudding in the oven and some whisky cream ready in the fridge. The pudding smells divine, I can't wait.

Just thought I'd share lick

Sounds great.

I agree on Jamie mind, his presentation of food isn't the best, and the 'cheeky chappie' persona wears thin pretty quickly. But his flavours are good, and you can't fault his work with/for kids.

NB. If you can bear to chop up a 'bunnie', his rabbit stew with dumplings from "COOK with JAMIE" is very good.

Jamie at Home.

I started watching it on telly as a lot of it was about how he grew his vegetables. I've downgraded from an allotment to a small patch in the garden due to lack of time, but still love growing my own veg. I seem to remember you do too. The book's the same, split into seasons, and within each season talks about which veg he grows and how, and then some recipes using those veg.

His food is great, lots of unexpected ingredients working well together, but his latest series really* annoyed me. The whole kitchen in a lean to with knackered old crockery was bollox, that and the clockwork spit that Jules "found". FFS rein the stylist in, Jamie.

Ok, not really really, but it was all very contrived.

His food I find interesting, other than the fish finger sandwich.
