Started the Xmas food shopping today and to my horror I have found out that Haywards no longer make picallili…

Their Saucy version was staple eating for me over Christmas and now I’m looking for a’next best’…

I’m not a fan of the artisanal stuff- needs to have chunky veg, quite hot and saucy…

I bow before the PH collective- any suggestions welcome please!!

Thank you all in advance.

Ronny Pickering is on a 'relocation and new name project'. Hush hush.

Empty out the veg scraps from the kitchen bin, chop, place in a old screw jar from the shed, top up with cheap vinegar, cheap mustard and loads of pus from the dog's boil.

Leave jar in the airing cupboard for 6 months.

That's a shame, it's always a reliable staple. As it happens,
I've taken to purchasing piccalilli from all sorts of markets and farm shops when I travel. The variety is adequate that it becomes quite interesting to compare and if one isn't that good just open another and take a scoop of that. If there is more than one piccalilli lover who shares your dining table, there might be different flavours to suit different tastes, too.

A bit late for Christmas, but a Wight Little Pickle has won over plenty here.

Delicious!

They do MANY other items. Garlic Beer is pretty decent from them too!
