Evening all. My current machine (of unknown brand, basic spec.) is leaking badly despite all manner of cleaning, descaling etc, so I suspect is on the way out.

Can anyone recommend a machine for <£100, ideally <£80ish? I don’t need inbuilt grinders. insulated flasks or bugle capacity, just something of reasonable quality and easy maintenance that accepts standard, common-or-garden filters (Melitta conical ones seem easy to find). A timer/some means of programming would be handy, but not essential.

The Melitta machines (known to me only due to the aforementioned filters and Amazon suggestions) seem OK. Worth a look?

Any help you folks provide would be much appreciated!

I buy a £25 one from e bay each year about Christmas time . I just chuck the old one out . I use it every morning. I choose the washable filter types . There are loads all the same with different names ,made in China I am sure .
It's such a simple arrangement, drip hot water over coffee grounds collect in jug. I can't see the point of spending more money .

This busts your budget, but seems like it will last forever and produces great coffee

For that price you may as well go for a full scale industrial machine

A Chemex and a kettle? The Chemex will last forever and could not be easier to maintain.
