Thought I'd give 'Father Jeans' a try today to eat whilst watching the Carabao Cup between Liverpool and Newcastle Utd, Place the order online, they have a 'progress page' that tells you what's happening with your order! "That's Good" I thought.

'Order placed, Cooking your order, Checking and Cutting your order, Despatching your order!

Ten minutes later, Your order has been delivered. No it f'kin well hasn't! Click here if your order hasn't been delivered. Click box, Please give it 5 minutes then ring this number if your order still hasn't arrived! Ring number, "Please call us in 10 minutes if he isn't there!
ffs, my pizza is gonna be cold! Driver calls me 5 minutes later, " What is your postcode please?" Confirm postcode. "No, that is wrong!" wtf!! Guide him in to the 'sort of' private, but easily identifiable on the map, estate! He finally arrives, buzz him in, finally get my pizza, "Your postcode is wrong" "No it isn't!" "It is wrong!" ""Hull City Council, HMRC, DVLA, etc. etc. and 'kin Domino's find me using this postcode - HU* 0**!" Deliver driver insists "Your postcode is Wrong!!"

No Tip for you pal! Goodbye! Pizza in the oven for 5 minutes, finally get to watch the match properly, 35 minutes in!

Don't think I'll be using 'Father Jeans' again! Pizza - Average, Service - ste!!

Great game as a neutral. More enjoyable than the pizza in many ways! wink

Annoys me when a driver seem to assume that a postcode is an address.

P*p* Johns! Didn't want to break any 'naming and shaming' rules! Guess I may have just done that now!

We get this too, so aggravating. They assume the Google Maps search for the postcode is the exact location, which is never correct for most rural postcodes

Its reminiscent of Tony Hancock phoning to report that Big Ben is chiming at the wrong time.

They had a special offer on. They'd have to really, what with delivering cold pizzas! hehe

Maybe he was worried about parking near your flats. It’s caused some serious grief previously.

?????

The flats are for 55yr old and over. Opposite a beautiful listed building, an old folks retirement complex. Lovely green lawns, flowerbeds, well kept hedges, one entrance / exit. Lovely, quiet, respectable 'estate'. What kind of serious grief, unless his dad died in the old folks retirement complex of course! In which case, he'd know where it was, and the 'kin postcode!

"I'm outside number 10"
"Ok. But I am at number 4"
"I went to number 10"
"So can you drive to number 4"
"Postcode says pick up here...."

So you'd let an old man be abused then! The outcome of that was a warning for the bh that she'd lose her Blue Badge, she now parks in their allotted spaces, and is now more respectful.

I post about a delivery driver insisting my postcode is wrong, which other people have experienced, and, according to your High and Mightyness, that's whining!

But You do You! bow

ShortGrain. Just be careful what you share.

From your posts I know exactly where you live and the car you drive.

Personally I would redact some of that info.
