No pics, but I've cooked down leftover roast beef with the gravy, red wine and some mushrooms, dragged some hot water crust pastry out the freezer, and made pies today. Boiled off the chicken carcass with onion and carrots to make a stock, and just put some curried chicken parcels in the oven with the leftovers of the bird from christmas day. We also made bubble and squeak which we had with poached eggy on boxing day. We waste more than I'm comfortable with in our house, but I'm pleased to say, aside from a little cheese that needs eating (and i will), we've wasted nothing this christmas.

We generally always have Goose on Xmas day and for years Wifey has ignored my request to remove the legs (she would just wrap them in tin foil for the duration) and they'd always be overdone and dry. This time she announced she'd found a Raymond Blanc video of his recipe. His method virtually comfit them in the rendered fat - body of the bird raised with halved onions and veg but the legs sat in the fat. Anyhow they were stunning and deserved to be eaten on their own so here's my leftover supper last night................
