For a number of years I have been using garlic paste since I use a lot of it in my cooking.
There seems to be a lack of large jars of the stuff. Had some TRS commercial jars last year.
Does anyone have a decent source?
Thanks.

Pretty much every supermarket has the KTC jars in their 'Asian' or 'World Food' section.

Or are you looking for a larger commercial kitchen sized jar?

Just make your own. Loads of 'recipes' out there. I use this for curries:

https://www.indianhealthyrecipes.com/ginger-garlic...

and make a big jar every couple of months. Keeps well in the fridge, and you don't even need to peel the garlic if you can't be bothered.

Dunno where you live, but come to a town like Reading, go to the Asian shops around the Oxford Road, and you'll find catering sized jars of the stuff everywhere. And ginger paste.

I live in Slough - cornucopia of Asian shops - maybe I've just been walking round blind!

Frozen is nicer. £1.50 or so for a 400g bag.

From the 'world food' part of the freezer section at Asda.

Also worth checking out for samosas, parathas etc.

You need to go to a supermarket in a mainly Asian area or to a proper Asian food shop. The Tesco next to the arena in Coventry for instance has 1kg jars of the Laila one in the bulk aisle with the 10kg bags of rice. Haven't seen in that size anywhere else for miles. If you're in Slough there will be one of the supermarkets doing it in the bulk aisle in their larger stores but yeah loads of local asian stores near you

Takes no time to make fresh, even without a whizzy thing.
