I'm looking for any recommendations for an Indian/curry restaurant in Birmingham city centre area (20 mins? walking distance of New St Stn) .

Thank you

This place was very good. Much better than the decor would suggest.

Depends what sort of thing you want, Dishoom and Ashas are pretty good in the city centre

I don't rate Ashas, it's overpriced and last time it tasted bland.
That being said I was 12 pints in.

Hen and Chickens on Henrietta St fits the bill. 20 min walk exactly.

Shabbabs is another fav of mine, in the Balti triangle. 10 mins in taxi.

Thanks all. We ended up at Asha’s as it was the closest and still open after we’d had a few beers.
No complaints here.
