We are visiting Manchester next Thursday with my wife and stepdaughter for her 20th birthday. Any recommendations on a reasonable restaurant, something a bit glitzy but not silly priced. We are at an escape room beforebhand just by the old granada studios.

Thanks

More biased towards quality food, especially fish, rather than glitz. Located in the trendy Northern Quarter, if that helps.

Mackie Mayor

Its a food court with loads of different foods from different stalls around the outside. I've not been to this one but they run the same thing in Altrincham and that's really good and looks like it has the same stalls. If you want pizza/steak and a roast it's all good.
Good vibe, not glitzy, shared benches/tables.

Not ridiculous but having been a couple of times it was nice.

This looks nice, menu looks great. Added to my list to visit.

My recommendation - https://www.kalabistro.co.uk/

Not been yet but I’ve booked Blacklock for their Sunday roast based on this video that was filmed in their London branch.

Quite near to where you are there is a fantastic cocktail bar called Schofields.

Hawksmoor isn't far from there either.
