Chichester - Good pubs/bars/restaurants 2024?
Discussion
3 mid 50's longtime friends are getting together for a night out in Chichester in November.
Any recommendations for a few pubs/bars to go to with a good beer selection? A Google reveals The Escapist and Duke and Rye as worth a look for our speed.
Good Indian for a curry, The Namaste Punjab?
Anyone got any local knowledge?
Thanks in advance

I’ve had Many a night out in Chi, good bad and ugly! Assuming you’ll be in the town (city) itself. Food recommendations:
Indian - Jungle Junction is excellent. Masala City is next door, standard curry house but not as good as JJ.
Thai - lemongrass is always good, been many times
Turkish - Reina Kitchen, consistently good but can be busy which slows service down
Plenty of chains if that’s your thing: Waga, Giggling Squid, Carluccios etc.
In terms of drinks:
Trent’s - quite a nice pub, ok selection
Nags Head - close to the curry places, standard pub, decent beers
Crate & Apple - always had a good night here
The Hole in the Wall - not been but a few friends have said it’s good
The Duke & Rye - in a converted chapel so pretty unique building. Been a few times and it’s ok, wouldn’t rush back though
Purchases - bit more upmarket, cocktails etc. probably not the best for beers, but decent atmosphere
I would avoid The Vestry or The Foundry, especially at the weekend. Often a strange mix of gobby tw@s and Emos.
Hope this helps but feel free to ask more questions.
