I doubt, I’ve ever had an authentic Taco, are they supposed to be like a roti, but a little more crispy; I’ve always thought of them, to be a delivery method.
Whereas, a roti/chappati/nan, are a delivery vehicle and cleaning service, mopping up the sauce.
They are generally meant to be soft small tortillas topped with a mix of a main ingredient and toppings like salsa, onions etc. Designed to be picked up and eaten by hand. Whereas, a roti/chappati/nan, are a delivery vehicle and cleaning service, mopping up the sauce.

It might make me some sort of heathen but I really enjoy the Old El Passo stuff
Same here. For me a taco should be made out of corn and come ready folded, then filled with beef, salad cheese and hot salsa. It should then be eaten very carefully in one go - then your last taco should be filled with all the stuff that fell out the previous tacos. bodhi said:

Taco’s?
Most of those are tortilla’s
Except the taco van ones
Can't you get 'hard shell' (like those from the taco van) and 'soft shell' (those that look more like small fajita wraps)? Most of those are tortilla’s

Must admit never had much experience with tacos, but some of the pictures in here look rather good...!
Some lovely-looking fillings in these examples!
Can I recommend CALI STREET TACO's made by Cantina Del Sabor if you're making them at home? Available from various places, I get mine from Sainsburys hidden away in the "American" section. Price is around £2, sometime £1.75 if on a Nectar deal every few weeks.
100% yellow corn flour tortillas which heat up lovely and taste great. Also gluten-free (important for our household) so ok for coeliacs.
