Henley on Thames

I've not been, but I have just read a great review for this place, and the critic isn't a colossal bellend either having eaten at a couple of places in London based on his feedback.

Known Dom & family for a number of years
Check out the reviews of the Beehive in White Waltham (his previous gastro pub)
You wont be disappointed with the food.

As part of my wife’s Birthday celebrations I need to take her, my 2 young children and the in laws out for lunch in Henley. Any suggestions on decent places?
Thanks
For a town centre location you could try the 'Angel on the Bridge' or the 'Little Angel' on the other side of the bridge, both serve good quality food and not overly expensive but do get very busy on the weekends, the former would be my first choice. Thanks
For a more rural location you could try the 'Flowerpot' at Aston a couple of miles away which is full of character with a lovely rear garden and a short walk to the Thames and Hambleden Lock, again decent food and not too expensive.
If you're on a tight budget there's always the 'Catherine Wheel' Spoons in the High St, not been there myself so would welcome any feedback

Bistro at the Boathouse, but perhaps not child friendly - check first.
Great food though.
Depends what £££ you want to spend - Plough at Shiplake or Orwells Shiplake if you want to push the boat out.
Golden Ball, lower Assendon (5 mins from Henley).
Middle of the road - there is a mediterranean restaurant in the square - doesn't look much but the food surpasses the decor.
Also Bijans - again looks quaint inside but tasty Persian food, lots of sharing stuff, definitely take kids.
