We had been using Gousto for a couple years or so and have about 200 recipe cards in 2 of their folders

We enjoy the meals and it certainly broadened my meal repertoire from the same 10 things on rotation

I've also lost a load of weight since we switched

I got frustrated at the amount of packaging - especially 15ml of this and that in plastic - so we stocked the pantry and now have pretty much everything they use in their recipes and I chose 5 cards and buy the fresh "bits" to suit

Anyway, I know you can look at the "new" recipes on the website, just wondered if there was a cook book that used similar pantry items, or another service / app that does something similar?

Not tried this app butt I watch their Youtube videos. It has a focus on not wasting things so if you require eg. half a lettuce then later in the week it will use it in another dish AFAIK.

There does seem to be a gap in this market for selling only the perishable items. As you say, who needs a 15ml sachet of cider vinegar or 120g of rice - most people have this stuff bought in relative bulk surely. It would cut packaging and cost massively.

Do you not still have all the recipe cards? We kept all the ones we liked from our subscription and regularly just pick one for a mid week dinner.

BBC Goodfood website is decent for simple recipes in a similar vein.

I looked at this, but I found their meals reasonably fussy for 'I just want food in my gob' mid week meals.
