Thought I’d treat myself to a can of Pepsi with my Chinese takeaway this evening… needed cheering up as I came home from holiday a couple of days ago. hehe

Haven’t had a fizzy drink a few months so not sure if this is a new thing, but WTF are Pepsi thinking - it’s absolutely horrible. On closer inspection, there’s a load less sugar in it and is now filled with artificial sweetener instead. All the other carbonated drinks seem to have been neutered in the same way, so it seems like it’s just Coke that’s left.

Maybe this has been done for the folk who are drinking 2L bottles of it every day, but for everyone else this seems like an own goal. Yeah, the refined sugar is close to being poison, but I’m not convinced the sweeteners are any better and as mentioned, the taste is dreadful. Is it to get around the sugar tax, to save future type 2 diabetics from themselves or what? Whatever, next time I’ll buy Coke.
