McDonalds going downhill

Very depressing that so many people think that McD is the only place to go for food.
I can not remember a time that it was somewhere that I wanted to go to. My son hardly goes there (13yrs). I explained to him that it's got the distinction of having a great deal of calories without filling you up at all..

Since 2018, I've had 1 McDonalds meal. I know that because I stopped working in Manchester and last Jan time was the last one I had. So 1 in 6 years.
But I used to eat them all the time, especially Big Breakfasts (i could scoff one right now, if only they did them !)
Have about 1 per year if my daughters opt for it... I always have the filet of fish which is edible. But I used to eat them all the time, especially Big Breakfasts (i could scoff one right now, if only they did them !)
Downhill?... Has it ever been up there?
It used to be a cheap & cheerful "last resort" type of place where I would go if hungover or needed something to eat out of desperation.
We recently stopped off on a road trip to Ayr from Newcastle as the kids were hungry and didn't have time to stop off for "proper" food.
£38 later for 4 meals consisting of cold, oversalted fries and small burgers that looked like the contents had been thrown into the buns from 20 yards away.
To McDonalds credit though, the mcflurrys are good value when the kids want ice creams

Indeed was it ever ‘uphill’?
Nothing cuts through a hangover like a sausage and egg McMuffin (or at least it used to), but the rest of it is gopping.
We used to do an office run on a Friday morning and S&E McMuffin was the favourite. That was a few years ago though, when they were reasonably priced!Nothing cuts through a hangover like a sausage and egg McMuffin (or at least it used to), but the rest of it is gopping.
Thankfully we have a brilliant sandwich shop nearby who do a fantastic sausage and egg sarnie at £3.25 or £4 for a large one! They set you up for the rest of the day! And they'll deliver!

This was that very mcnuffink. Nothing cuts through a hangover like a sausage and egg McMuffin (or at least it used to), but the rest of it is gopping.
I drove from the A40 to this place at Greenford.
There was nothing between other services and this spot at 7AM.
Greggs is just as bad.
I need a portable lighter socket powered airfryer in the car

£38 for 4 meals? A Big Mac (hardly a small burger) meal is £6.79. I'm not going to jump to McDonalds defence, but I'm very interested to know where you would have chosen that would have offered similar value for money. 5 of us at Five Guys in London just before Christmas was £99. That did make me wince. It used to be a cheap & cheerful "last resort" type of place where I would go if hungover or needed something to eat out of desperation.

i love mcdonalds me , the coffe is cheap and acceptable - the bagel meal was great , a mcmuffin is adeaquate but smaller yes so go for the double lol. i like i can order it on my phone and sit in the car like a proper lazy person, Great saturday breakfast before heading off on a road trip. I am neither fat or on benefits FYI lol

The food has definitely gone downhill. But still good for a cheap coffee at the services.
Im not sure thats true. The standard of service has though. And the level of filth in some of them is disgusting.
In the past, whatever else you could say, they were always at least clean. Cant even manage that anymore.
