I know there are some potential safety issues but has anyone got any recommendations for a standalone wok burner to use indoors?

Well, firstly you DO NOT want to be locating a propane cylinder in the house, so any gas modification works will have to be carried out by a competent GasSafe technician.

And then, a professional wok stand and burner, like this > https://www.the-wok-house.co.uk/collections/wok-bu...

Trouble with an induction hob, getting the sides of the pan hot. However there is such a thing available commercially.
