I am single but thought I be greedy and indulge in a large taste the difference Sainsbury stick toffee pudding, thought I have it over a few days.

Got to it tonight, realized I miss read the date it says use by the 3 Jan, it has a sachet your suppose to heat separately and spread it on the microwaved cake, it says do not reheat,

I planed to cut heat the sachet, spread the sticky stiff over the cake, cut it up in to pieces and freeze most of it, but it says niot suitable for freezing,

Why would a sticky toffee pudding not be suitable for freezing?

It will be a quality issue. Only flaw in your plan is reheating from frozen will mean the sponge and sauce reheat unevenly. Just eat it quickly in the next couple of days.

Like Tony says, if you do that then when you reheat in microwave the bit with the toffee sauce on may get a bit nuclear. Sponge puddings can catch fire in the microwave, ask me how I know!

That said, it will probably freeze ok and be perfectly edible, just not exactly as good the second time around. If it's only for a quick pud for one on a week night I'd have a go. It's unlikely to be horrible;)

Both sticky toffee pudding and toffee sauce last for ages, and why either would not be freezable I can't imagine.

You might want to portion up the STP and freeze in cling film, but the sauce will last for ages just in the fridge due to its sugar content.
