Been knocking up jars of pickled eggs every now and then for a few years now, very easy and make great christmas presents
This time though I'm looking to branch out a bit, away from the usual malt or distilled vinegar and the usual pickling spices... I've stumbled across a recipe for Amish mustard pickled eggs, for which I'll use english mustard and turmeric, plus shredded sweet onion
Any other interesting pickled egg recipes out there?

I'd put that somewhere safe for when it explodes and showers your kitchen is shards of glass!
It’s only the mustard and turmeric making it that muddy colour The chillies I’m fermenting carry a greater risk of exploding
My big Kilner jar is currently full of appreciating bramble whisky (Laphroaig version!) so the little job has been pressed into service for a quick pickled egg urge...
Something a little different from my usual traditional sort of thing...these are done with spring onions & mustard seeds in apple cider vinegar, first tasting due in a fortnight or so as of Sunday morning.
