Hi all. Does anyone have an electric pizza oven and if so, can they advise if they’re any good? I’d really like a wood one but waiting for it to heat up would be just too long I think.

Thanks all, and if you’ve any recommendations (under £200) would be great

There's a massive thread in this section on pizza ovens, with electric ovens considered to not get hot enough to make the perfect pizzas. Have a look on the thread and the general advice would be an oven such as the Ooni Karu with gas burner attachment. But find the thread and have a good read.

Brill thanks I’ve found the thread and will have a look.

Going off electric ones now so will see how much of a hassle the pellet/woods ones are.

I have an Ooni Karo and mostly use wood (have got the gas burner but haven't been able to get a bottle ).

It's really not much hassle. Couple of lighters and sticks of wood light, feed some more sticks in. Go off and get everything else ready, it's hot in about 15 mins. Just chuck a stick or two in with each pizza.

I’ve an early Ooni (or Uuni as it was back then). Started off with the wood pellets which whilst it did a reasonably good job of making pizzas, it meant constant monitoring/topping up of the hopper to keep on top of it and I found it a little inconsistent.

Then they released a gas attachment which in my opinion was a massive game changer. So easy. Fire it up and within 10-15 mins the oven & stone is red hot and you’re ready to cook. No faffing around keeping on top of the temperatures with the pellets. I made 6 pizzas & 2 garlic breads one after another last weekend and they all came out perfectly.

I had/have a wood pellet one and have just bought an electric one as the wood one is too much hassle. The electric one is "okay" and I will be trying it again this week but I think it may need a little playing around to get the best from it.

We invested in one of these,

https://www.infernowoodfiredovens.com/product/vest...

Superb quality and from lighting to using, less than an hour, probably averages around 45 minutes. Added benefit is its not just good for pizzas, is big enough to do a roast, bake bread etc. Gets a lot of use, especially through the summer.
