I think you need some new spice. Sainsburys have not used that style of jar for 4-5 years.

I mix foods like mad, Left over beef and black bean sauce? Cook up some noodles or rice? No that would be too sensible and normal.

I add cook up some fusilli pasta and stir in the beef and black bean - lush!

I'm a fan of Maggi Seasoning - effectively liquid MSG. Brings out flavour in many dishes.

Normally stocked in larger Morrisons, Tesco and Saiins.

I thought they stopped making it - it used to have a yellow top and the hotter version a red top. Then they changed both to red tops, but with Chili Hot on the hotter one. The red top version is the more premium European version.

The Germans are too. When I was learning the language the word Maggi came up multiple times - Don't remember any other brand names coming up as much. Carmakers and their home cities were mentioned, with particular emphasis on Wolfsburg being an artificially created city for VW workers to live in and work, but other than that, Maggi Maggi Maggi...

At home: Dried wild mushroom powder. It's a flavour bomb for any savoury dish.

Professionally: Obscene amounts of butter.

Steak; salt each side, leave in the oven (turned off) for the day. I'm still alive.

I never have to use steak knives, a regular knife cuts thru easily.

Used to be a big fan of Knorr Touch of Taste liquid chicken stock. Bottle in the fridge would last a year or more, it was entirely artificial and v concentrated. Only a tablespoon or so required to make a pretty decent risotto/paella/pilaf if you didn't have the real thing to hand.

But it is NLA everywhere now, I think they must have stopped making it. Probably full of banned mutant additives, like Night Nurse. Shame;)

Sunday roast, boil your spuds for ten mins for your roasties and make your gravy stock from the tatty water.

For a Sunday roast, nowt should be wasted-if we ate more soup I’d save the vegetable peelings to be honest.

I cook for the family every night, my dirty secret is that I don’t like cooking unless I’m baking cakes.

Unfortunately nobody wants cake for dinner.
