Unfortunately I recently lost* a 1l Pyrex jug that was perfect for sieving gravy with a conical sieve. It was the perfect dimensions as it was tall and narrow, so the sieve was a perfect fit and kept the bottom (mostly) out of the gravy.

It was my gran's so probably bought in the 50s and Pyrex now only do a short, wide jug. irked

The old one had the same proportions as the 1/2l jug.

*Daughter knocked it out of the cupboard. frown

It's only a pint, so 1/2l.
