Somewhere between Highbury Corner and along Upper Street should yield something to keep mother and child happily fed.
I might be due a parrot but arent you mixing up Man City ground with Arsenal ground? I believe the Etihad Stadium is in Manchester. Yes Manchester.

My wife is taking one of my children to the Etihad stadium on Tuesday and wants to pre-arrange lunch. Somewhere that does a good burger and a nice salad.
Any tips please?
Apologies that this is not sport per se, but it seemed the the most likely place to get a good recommendation.
How close to the stadium do you want to be? If you can be in the city centre beforehand, there's Almost Famous in the Northern Quarter, or similarly Love, Lust, Liqour and Burn nearby. Loads of stuff in that patch to be honest!Any tips please?

Up near the Etihad itself, there's not a huge amount to be had; okay there's a massive Asda and a McDonalds across the road from it, so yes you can get "some food", but there's scope for improvement...
It'd be remiss if I didn't point this out, but the Metrolink runs directly from the City Centre up to to the Etihad. You can pay with contactless on the platforms, just swipe in and swipe out akin to the London Underground.
That might sway the balance in favour of getting good food in the city beforehand. Might be easier to park up near the stadium, tram into town (or walk along the canal if preferred, it's about half an hour), food, back, tour, then there's no faff getting back to the car afterward when they're heading home.

Yes, parking in Manchester city centre is not the best, sounds like a good idea. The Metrolink station is actually at the Etihad. That might sway the balance in favour of getting good food in the city beforehand. You could go the other way and get off at The retail park in Ashton (Ashton Moss leisure park), just before IKEA, plenty of eateries there too. Frankie and Benny's etc.
Obviously if you're in Manchester, the best food going in the Chicken Kebab at Saajad's in Fallowfield. Though Google Maps is suggesting it's permanently closed and I'm too far away (Durham) to check, so you could try there and report back? Just have a back-up in case the bad news is correct.

They will probably be in McDonalds as I type.Balfour Junior will be in raptures over his cheeseburger and chocolate shake. Lady Balfour will be unhappy with her salad and still water.

You are obviously a man of distinction. These kebabs have kept me going for the last 25 years but last time I went past I'm pretty sure that whole strip had changed hands. Such a shame. To the OP - park and tram in to town sounds like a great idea to me!
