Anyone recommend a reliable supplier for a small mixed cheese range for a cheese lovers present ?

I know its going to be tight delivery wise, but Ive only just thought of the idea.

I can recommend these cheeses, but don't have experience of delivery/supply, as they are local to us so I can buy in local supermarket.

They say order by midnight tomorrow to guarantee Christmas delivery.

Given the mess that is the post and knock on into couriers, you might struggle for a pre Christmas delivery now

Courtyard Dairy aren't taking anymore orders for pre-Christmas delivery but they do have vouchers for virtual cheese tastings. We've done one and given them as presents to several people. They have different themes such as blue cheeses, ones to pair with cider, regional groups etc. Once you've booked on a session, the cheese for your night is delivered a day or two before. It's a very enjoyable hour or two, as they tell you about the producers, the history, the region, drink pairings etc. Anyone we've given a voucher to has said they really enjoyed it as well

Is it for delivery to them, or delivery to you to give to them?

If the latter, it might be better to think about local farm shops if you have any?

It’s a present rather than for the big meal.

I’m sure I could find something local, but time is against me.

I’m going to have a proper look at the virtual tasting tomo, as that sounds almost perfect.

I was actually wondering if there was day in a cheese making business type thing, so the above fits very well.

Christmas cheese is Wensleydale with cake so try there.
Failing that Cheeses of Nazareth is your best bet.

Paxton & Whitfield or Neal’s Yard Dairy (both London cheesemongers) deliver and you might just be in time as they both use DPD.

As an alternative suggestion if you have run out of time, both offer cheese subscriptions.

I’ve had Paxton’s monthly delivery for a few years now and it is nice to get a box of good cheese every month. They offer alternative subscription frequency, so getting say a quarterly delivery is also an option.

Unsurprisingly, the Fine Cheese Co do nice cheesy gifts > https://www.finecheese.co.uk/cheese/gifts

I think you'll be stuffed for delivery prior to 25th tho. Maybe possible the week after.

Get some 50 month aged Cheddar from Aldi, wrap it in some brown paper with string around it and a dab of sealing wax and job jobbed!

Had our zoom meeting tonight...

The whole experience has been very positive.

Great comms on the run up to the zoom, some great cheeses and loads of really interesting geeky facts.

A well recommended and enjoyable gift idea, would recommend to nay cheese lovers.....
