Hi all

Eating a sausage earlier from a pack which has been very grisly and I spat a bit out that appears to be a round plastic pellet.

Would this have been used in the slaughter (I can't imagine but thought I'd ask!)

It's a pig's vaginal cyst. Try it with a bit of Tabasco!

Cheers.

I got them from a well known cash and carry. About 7 quid for a pack. There was a lot of gristle so won't be buying them again.

There are some things in life that you really do not want the answer to.

I suspect in this case - ignorance might be bliss.

Did they actually have 'sausages' on the pack, or 'bangers'?

A retired butcher friend of mine used to say:

"i won't eat other people's sausages, because I don't know what's in them, and I won't eat my sausages either, because I do know what's in them"
