Where’s good to eat in Aberdeen
Discussion
Another vote for Moonfish. Quality food although small portions.
Bistro Verde has also impressed me recently. Fusion Bar and bistro is also very nice. Jack's steakhouse is also good and Miller and Carter recently opened too.
It's been since I've been, but I always promised to go back to Yorokobi by CJ.
If it's a curry I would say Light of Bengal. The amount of cheating the Indian restaurants in Aberdeen do on TripAdvisor is staggering. There is a lot of poor curry houses in Aberdeen.
I would advise against Chaophraya. They've for a prime location and are easily to stumble into. The place looks good, but the food and value for money certainly aren't there.

To be seen to be going out for posh food, then the Silver Darling still is in the lead, but book yourself in for a macdonalds on the way home, you will need it. (not been myself, mind!)
I really recommend Pasta Plus in Rosemount - yes, very small, but very friendly. (Italian shop, so he wanders into the shop, grabs the ingredients he needs, then wanders back into the kitchen to cook it)

I was at Cafe Boheme the other night - excellent for French-ish food, a lot of good fish specials usually too.
ETA - IMO the place people like to be seen going to is Mal Maison. The most overrated and overpriced place in town, but a good steak if someone else is paying!

Drive out to Udny Green and go to Eat on the Green for the best food in the area or in town as has been suggested I'd go to Rustico's or for an Inidian try Monsoona.
Agree with all of that - also Jewel in the Crown for a curry.Peanut Gallery said:

Can't agree with this, I've always left full! It is excellent, and the views with the boats going past you on one side and the beach in the other are fantastic. If I'm not mistaken then chef/owner who has had it forever has recently left and it has changed hands, so it could have changed.ETA - IMO the place people like to be seen going to is Mal Maison.
