Having a conversation in the office about vegetables as you do. It was established that a courgette if not picked, gets larger and is then known as a marrow.

Are there any other fruit or vegetables where this is the case?

Of course, veal turns into beef by the same logic biggrin

Good one! We were wondering if a gherkin was a small cucumber.

So all you need to eat is steak and drink wine.

Barely apropos the thread, but it reminded me of the old one about, what's the difference between a pot of yoghurt, and Australia?
If you leave it alone for long enough, eventually the pot of yoghurt will develop a culture.
I don't agree with the premise, I'm just relating the "joke".

All-Bran is just a cardboard box that's been cut into thin strips and put inside another cardboard box.

Like the courgette/zucchini which changes name as it traverses the English speaking world, the swede turns into a rutabaga in America and some natives of northern climes call them turnips - which is a completely different thing altogether!

So before they were merely Blueberries, Tomatoes, Avocados, Spinach.
Now they are Superfoods.
You can tell which foods are superfoods as they will have their underpants outside their coloured tights when on the shelves in the supemarket.
