Booked a table and seriously looking forward to it, but does anyone have any suggestions as to where to stay, other than at the restaurant hotel itself?

We stayed at The Oxfordshire (www.theoxfordshire.com) which was about a 10 minute cab ride from Le Manoir. It's basically a 'golf resort' but the rooms and the rates were great. Recommended.

We stayed here and its a nice place (our stay coincided with a pre-war Morris rally, so the car pak was great!!)

This. Fantastic place.

The Belfrey is just a boring business hotel, Crazy Bear beats it hands down.

Another vote for Crazy Bear here.

Or you could pack those furry handcuffs and go to prison........http://www.malmaison.com/locations/oxford/about-the-oxford-mal.aspx

Had considered the Crazy Bear as we generally go for something a bit less sterile but have been put off by numerous recent mixed reviews. May go for the Old Parsonage as a compromise as it has the bonus of being in the centre of town for a bit of exploring pre/post dinner.

Not stayed at stadhampton but the crazy bear in London is just one total gimmicky place frequented by poseurs , not my cup of feta but I know people who like it..
