Don't remember the last time I've walked out of a restaurant

4 of us, my parents, brother and I decided to go for a meal out. We'd noticed a new South Indian place opening nearby and thought we'd give it a go.

We thought it opened last week, however we were wrong, the grand opening signs should have rung major warning bells but we proceeded anyway. In cheap indian places, we don't expect great service, just tasty food, but this was a shambles!

The problems started occurring-

1. The menu was a lot less varied then the website version.
2. Table had used glasses from previous customers still on it.
2. Upon trying to order, waiter indicated that a large swathe of the menu (all indo chinese dishes) were not available.
3. Upon trying to re-order, second waiter informed us there were further things not available, including a large variety of drinks.
4. 1 starter out of 3 arrived and was lukewarm.
5. Finally having got side plates, to share out the once hot starter, we were then accosted by main courses before any of the other starters had arrived.

At this point, I was seriously annoyed, having been in there for almost an hour already. Got up, explained the shambles to the manager and walked down the road to a tried and tested joint- ..... and breathe!

Came very close to walking out of a Chinese the other day, probably the worst service I've ever had. Slow, rude basically incompetent. Had enough and was about to walk out when the food finally turned up, it was amazing! Completely took the wind out of my sails, didn't leave a tip though!
