Well there's a whisky thread, so lets see your rum!
Here's mine:
Ron Zacapa 23
Havana Club Anejo 7
Bacardi Oakheart
Captain Morgan
Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva Ron Antiguo
I drink them all neat apart from the Havana Club which I occasionally mix with ginger ale and a slice of lime.
The Captain Morgan and Oakheart are for general evenings when I fancy a small glass. The others are for more special evenings when I fancy something with a little more depth.
The next purchase over the Christmas period will be a bottle of Matusalem Gran Reserva 15

Trying to think what my current rum stash is...
Appleton 8 (had this before, darned decent)
Lamb's Spiced (not yet opened)
Foursquare spiced (Not enthusiatic about this, just not to my taste)
Flor de cana 7 yr old (not yet opened)
Barbancourt 8 yr old. (not yet opened)
Morgans Spiced (Not bad , but son in law keen on it, so buy as social thing.(
I'd like to get both Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva and Santa Teresa 1796 , but I suppose I'd best get
stuck into some more of what I have before buying more

May I recommend a website.

I've met the guy who writes it a few times around the Caribbean, he's a sailor who funds his trips through sales of his books.
My current list is
Cavalier - Antigua
English Harbour - Antigua
Mount Gay Eclipse - Barbados http://www.mountgayrum.com/
Santa Teresa Anejo - Venezuela http://www.ronsantateresa.com/#productos
The owner of Santa Teresa used to keep his Sportfishing boat next to mine and we used to fish together quite often. He brought some of his family's really old rum down to the marina for us to taste. Wow, now that's smooth.

Great thread! Will post an image of my rum selection later however I thought it would be a good place to let people a real rum bargain!

If you like golden rums like I do, especially for Cuba libre's then read the above article! It's one of my favourites.

Well this afternoon I took a trip down to 'Lahdahn Tahn' to meet up with an old housemate. He's a big whisky fan so we headed over to The Whisky Exchange to peruse their products. What a place! We were like kids in a sweet shop! I ended up walking away with a bottle of R.L Seale's 10 Year Old. Looking forward to opening it next week!
I also bought a gift for my girlfriend:
Finally I picked up another bottle of Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva Ron Antiguo for my girlfriend's Father as he polished off 3 glasses of mine last time they were over!
My housemate bought a bottle of Longmorn 12 Year Old.

Wood's certainly does the job, it about 50% ABV...
personally I think El Dorado 12, 15 and 18 are brilliant. As are some of the Diplomatico range.
Zacapa is very nice but a bit pricey and no way is it 23 years old, which rubs me up the wrong way a bit as it looks like it should be from the label.
For spiced rums (mixing) Sailor Jerry and Chairman's Spiced are pretty good.

If you like rum, you could of course join our little club. The Tot Club of Antigua & Barbuda celebrates the traditions of the Royal Navy and the part that rum played in it's success around the world.

I have a small stash of rum:
El Dorado 15 (an American 40% and a Euro 43%)
Kraken
Morgans Spiced
Wray and Nephew Overproof
Aldi own brand dark
Tesco own brand white
El Dorado I'll drink neat but have not yet compared the 2 different types yet. The Kraken I'll drink neat as well but I prefer it with a cube of ice. Not had the Morgans yet but it was cheap and the rest are for mixing, normally in Hurricanes.
I would like to get the Diplimatico Reserva Exclusiv and Bacardi Oakheart looks interesting.

after a recent spell of parties my rum stash is severely depleted. only a bottle of pyrat and some matusalem 15 left. i would;t recommend the latter btw OP, it isn't very good.
myers's is my go to rum for mixing, deep and full and sugary, nom nom. a couple of those have died in the last couple of weeks along with a ron zacapa 23 [again, way overrated and overpriced] and an appletons 12yr old [nom nom nom[ and a flor de cana 12yr old [supremely nom!].
looking forward to a trip home and a good rum shop. whilst i like the fact that age stated rums are extremely cheap compared to whiskies, i bemoan the fact it's so bloody hard to buy decent stuff in duty free.

Pyrat is good stuff, and the distillery does a nice tour. myers's is my go to rum for mixing, deep and full and sugary, nom nom. a couple of those have died in the last couple of weeks along with a ron zacapa 23 [again, way overrated and overpriced] and an appletons 12yr old [nom nom nom[ and a flor de cana 12yr old [supremely nom!].

I just returned from Barbados with a bottle of Mount Gay 1703. It's amaaaaaaaaaaazing
It was made in 1703? Surely not?I'm just getting into rum. I usually have captain Morgan with coke, am I allowed to join this elite club of rum drinkers?
1703 is the year the distillery was founded, the rum is a blend of different aged rums.
