Does anyone know why McDonalds now have a person at the collection window to hand you your food on weekends?

All it seems to do is mean they pay two people instead of one, they double the work as they had your food to the person who then hands you your food, and I always seem to end up trying very hard not to run over their feet as the drive thru lanes aren't that wide and they always seem to use a plump person to stand between the collection window and your car.

Cool Story Bro and Jesus Christ and all that, but I'm sure people managed just fine with the collection window so I really don't see the problem its solving.

It's a quality control measure to ensure that even during peak times, your bag of badly prepared clown food still contains exactly the same amount of teenage 'dockers omelette' as it would during off peak times.

LOL no way they no do this.
Tbh from experience some retards do park way to far away from the window, some seam quite incapable to drive down the lane in some cases, worrying.

Not seen this happening here... maybe it's a local issue?

Perhaps there are there a lot of supercars in your area which are too low for the person to reach from the window...

Seen it in Essex. I'm sure it's pretty retarded thing to do, stick an employee in a narrow drive thru in between a solid building a car. Can only end up in a squashed McPerson in my opinion.

probably to make it so the thick, fat, ugly scum that frequent the place can get their stubby bulbous fag stained fingers on the food, despite being unable to park within reach of the window. It is quite possible they are so fat they can't move properly also however.

At a guess it's the people who are doing drive thru as a "treat" on the weekend and don't judge their car's width properly. As a result they have to get out of the car to get their food which slows everything down.
