Looking for restaurant/hotel recommended a while ago.

A while back someone was asking for recommendations of somewhere a bit different to take the other half for some occasion. Think they were after a good meal and
fancy place to stay (sure it must have been in here since I don't read the travel sub-forum).
Amongst the reommendations was a hotel that was part of a chain of maybe 3 or so hotels all done out in an over the top pantomime luxury boutique kind of way with every room differently themed. Sorry, I can't recall any of the specifics except I thought it was pretty cool if a bit camp. Seem to recall rooms like something out of a romantic vampire novel - all gothic decor and plush fabrics, roll top baths in the bedrooms etc. May also have been an Egyptian? styled room. Think they had the room numbers span the entire chain too, rather than each individual hotel.
Anyone know where I'm thinking of?
