Don't laugh, but I don't drink tea or coffee, never have, neither does my wife, just drink water or diluting juice. But I have to confess to a Diet Coke break at 10am every morning in the office, need my caffeine from somewhere!
To me real coffee smells good, but just tastes like burnt cigars. You have to remember back to when you were 16 and opened that first beer and took a sip, you didn't think it was nice I bet, in fact it was horrible, but you still put a brave face on not wanting your "cooler" mates to A) think it was your first and B) think you didn't like it. So over the next few months you persevered and it actually starts to become acceptable, but still no substitute for a Ribena. Before you know it you're downing a gallon of it on a night out!
Here I am, 16 years later and I'm going through exactly the same thing with coffee at work, well Mocha I believe it's called. Should I give in to peer pressure?
Had a cup yesterday and one today, I'm actually starting to come round to it, I feel more alert too, but not in a horrible caffeine buzzing way.
Is it a slippery slope to start drinking coffee? I see guys with 8 cups piled up at the end of the day and shudder... but that could be me. But with a second baby due in 6 weeks I suspect diet coke just isn't going to cut it anymore

How odd.
I think we all succumb to the not-so-great taste of lager / beer because ultimately it makes everything blurry and ten times more fun (mosty).
But if you genuinely don't like coffee then maybe it's just not for you? Have you tried tea? With and without milk? We are lead to believe that tea actually has more caffeine in it than coffee.

I used to love the smell and hate the taste, but then ended up with free coffee at work about a year ago, started with cappuccino and a couple of sugars and quite quickly came round. I am now addicted and find the stronger the better.
Whether it was a good move in the first place remains to be seen.

Coffee is more addictive than smoking I swear! Ive tried to quit drinking coffee twice this year... Id stick to the occasional one if I was you, im currently on 5-8 mugs a day
Glad I'm not the only one...5/6 cups a day is 'normal', I should probably try to cut down since it gets to the weekend and I wake up with a headache because if it was a work day I'd already be on coffee number 3

Can't stand coffee, even the smell of it. Tea is ok, but on the whole I'm not really a fan of hot drinks, except for a cup of tea with a full English breakfast, or a cup of tea when I spread Bovril on toast (I prefer Bovril to Marmite, I know it's weird!)
I used to drink a LOT of Diet Coke - 4 cans a day at work, plus a 2 litre bottle in the evenings. Now that stuff is addictive! But about a month ago I switched to drinking just water at work and I find I'm actually less thirsty during the day. I now drink the equivalent of about 2 cans in a day, sometimes less. In the evenings I still have Diet Coke, but nowhere near as much.

1 kg of tea has more caffeine than 1 kg of coffee, however 1 cup of coffee has more caffeine than 1 cup of tea. This is because coffee is generally brewed much stronger than tea.chrisobrien54 said:
Another addict here.
I have to limit myself to one coffee shop coffee a day. Two at the very most (only if it's a looong slow day). No sugar, though.
But yeah, addictive as f
k. And not really great for you.
