Nottingham - Cornwall food/drink run suggestions
Discussion
Hi folks, off on holiday to Cornwall in a week or so. Was thinking on the way down - and/or back - to sample and purchase some good local produce from farmshops, micro-manufacturers and suchlike.
If you have any recommendations to consider, that would be great. Was thinking of staying clear of meat though - I don't have a fridge/freezer in the car.
Couple of ideas so far:

Bear in mind this is a 6 hour journey, I wasn't looking for anywhere too far away from M5/A30
Thanks

If you like honey (or indeed a spot of mead) then this is a great place.
The shop sells an awful lot more than they seem to sell online - in fact, from their website:
The Porteath Bee Centre shop sells a wide range of products ranging from honey, hand made bees wax candles, furniture polishes for old and new furniture, books and even a waterproof wax for boots and shoes.
Try our delicious home made honey ice cream, honey fudge, jams and marmalades for a truly mouth watering experience.
Place itself it isteresting and worth a visit - could spend ages watching the bees go about their business in the glass fronted hives.

Pop in to the chilli farm, only a 10 mins off the A38 and has masses of samples, a really cracking little cafe and loads of quality hot sauces etc.
