I'm trying to convince myself. I've seen them used for various things but I'm not convinced they do anything unique. Nice toy though. Just can't bring myself to spend £900 on something that could end up not being used much.

Look at a Vitamix, half the price, and as good

What is the handiest, or best, gadget that you have bought? Do you have a pacojet?

Best toy has to be a proper stirred waterbath. I looked at pacojets and freezer plates but not the sort of thing we do or need, "cool" toys though.

Looking for another ice cream machine soon and a decent dehydrator.

A sous vide? Or however it may be spelled.

Do you use that mainly for meat?

Mainly but also used for fruits (for desserts), some veg. and prepping specific ingredients, ie. bulk confit garlic.

Thanks for answering Tony, I am going into catering in the near future and was wondering what I could buy to make things a little special.
