All,

interested in if I'm beina bit of a dope or being done over a bit.

Spoken to a caterer about 3 events and verbally quoted prices to me of £x per head.

Ive since had a written quote from him, really nice guy, no doubt food will be great but its a lot more than expected. ie more than twice as much. He's added on things like "chef hire" which i'd assumed included.

The 2nd event is partially a hog roast, on that he's now said that on top of the price he had verbally quoted there is equipment hire to cook it. What was the alternative, a dead pig??

Maybe I'm being niaive but i'd assumed the price per head was the price per head?

I havent paid a deposit but im low on time, interested in your thoughts.

It does seem strange that the price per head is not inclusive of everything. I would ask for a new price inclusive of everything per head.

Sounds a bit dodgy, the Per Head price should be inclusive.

In terms of indian caterers anyway, the price per plate/ head is just that! Total cost divided by number of covers, no point in giving such a measure if there are extra costs on top too...
