I like to play Chinese lottery. I often ask for a lucky dip and just shout out random numbers and just see what arrives.

I simply follow the logic which millions of us follow...

1) Grab three or four Chinese takeaway menus.
2) Spend 30 minutes looking at all the various tasty options.
3) Order exactly the same thing you've ordered every week for the past 5 years, from the same takeaway you always use.

I always do this, however the girlfriend can easily starve to death whilst making a decision, hence my new approach.

Darts. Surely there's no other way that you could find out what a 'special secret sauce' tastes like?

Sadly, the stuff we like has been colour-coded on the menus by my wife.
One week we reorder the numbers with blue dots, another week it's red dots.... smile

I prefer the 'phone book lottery'

Open phone book at random and blindly stick your finger on a name on the page, the phone number is your order smile

Just try not to offend them when you are ordering, you might get a special serving of sweet and sour chicken with "cream of sum yung gai".

yes

Salt and chilli chicken
Sweet and sour pork balls
Kung po king prawns
Beef in black bean sauce
Singapore noodles
Stir-fried mixed vegetables

Hungry now... and the takeaway doesn't open for another 5 hours!

Then find they've changed the recepie and it tastes nothing like it did before and nowhere near as nice.
